Britain losing its identity? (Long)?

Watching BBC 1 the other day it I saw an advert for some new comedy with some man who kept singing 'I'm an Iranian living in the UK' before it being billed 'a very British comedy' and it struck me - no it isn't. I consider myself a comedy fan and I've seen many minority comedy shows but they're just not funny, their scope is usually limited to the minority they're aiming at, like an Indian show had sketches concerning grandmothers angry at their granddaughters dating non-Indian guys and other such subjects not really applicable to the average Briton. These aren't British comedies, they're minority comedies made in Britain and most of the time they're in-jokes to a certain subculture. Nothing like a true British comedy like Monty Python whose broad range appeals to people globally. So it struck me - has Britain lost its identity? I'm no British Nationalist Party member or anything but I think immigrants have changed the face of Britain for good. Muslim activists are really vocal cont'd
