Can skittles go bad after so long?

so i got super duper sick the other day after i ate some skittles, and idk why? they musta been a special kind cuz they had a green fuzz on them, but they were really weird tasting and the s's musta worn off and they said 200 mg instead, why the hell did i get sick????????? i hate skittles now, they taste like uncle toms riddlin
