Why is Škoda sold everywhere but Canada and the US?

I saw their website and they look like really nice and modern cars. I look at the importers and I click North America, the only list of importers I see are the countries that are considered as Central or Latin America. Anyone know why these Czech manufacturers refuse to sell their cars in America? I'm sure many people would buy them.
