Has Religion caused most Wars?

It would be more accurate to say that religion inflicts more unnecessary conflict on humanity than any other single cause. It's much ado about nothing - it's not like any of the followers can prove anything they believe, but they will fight to the death against others who don't believe the same thing. Go figure.
