If someone endangers my life, is that illegal ?

for instance, some idiot organized an attack on Syria, and now people in other countries want to kill Americans, I'm an American.... so my life is somewhat in danger because of what these people are doing... great, now I'll be losing sleep tonight, wondering how much danger my life is in because of the actions of selfish, gluttonous people.
