Ladies, how can a guy tell if your single?

Ladies, what signs do u show to indicate ur single? what are some of the cues you might show if ur single. like ex. there is this woman, i like but when i come to the store b4 work every day we would small talk, then my hours changed so i wouldnt see her. but then i just found out yesterday when i went into the store she was there, and we talked alil, she remembered me and had a smile on her face. she put extra meat in my order. how can i find out if shes single with out being blunt? what can i do or say? thanks Kerry
