With the proposed changes to the states TEKS for social studies I am not surprised as a history teacher it's disheartening to see the state continue to push to close students minds. However anyone who has studied political science knows that when you have a liberal government the Conservatives are going to push all that much harder to keep or restore the old status quo.

I took the swine flu shot today at school. I felt fine when I got the shot but about ten minutes after I got back to cl, I felt really dizzy. Starmate 5 sirius radio?...?

ok, so I bought the starmate 5, the only radio compatible with a la carte package. I've been trying since january to get the a la carte package. Sirius is having an issue that they say they need to fix, but it's april now, and still not fixed! I got the radio simply because in the long run it was going to be cheaper. Sirius isn't fixing the problem though. I'm seriously thinking of cancelling with them altogether. Ya'll got any ideas how I can get them to fix it already rather than cancelling? Weirdest and most complicated situation ever..?

Okay,.....So about 2 weeks ago, I decided to "prank text" my cousin. I pretended I was this girl named veronica.... whenever I was bored, "Veronica" would text him. Should I Take The Job?! Please Answer/Help?

So, it's my second year of college, while I have had one other job in my lifetime...I had it during a summer when there was no school. I'm great at working, if anything I'm a workaholic. I'm not worried about doing well for a job, BUT there is a job opening at my college for a conductor...all of our students drive a campus run bus service...and a conductor helps on the double Decker's would just have to memorize routes, ring a bell for stops, memorize stops, and hold a flag for speed bumps or caution(when people get off). It seems simple and I have a friend who does it. The schedule is crazily flexible, and the job would give me about 8.50 an hour. I know it sounds great, and I would meet lots of people, and make lots of friends and have some income. But should I take it if I feel it might exhaust me to the point my cles won't get the attention they need...my load isn't that large, but it is rigorous this quarter none the less. I just want to make sure I don't fail because of a job, and at the same time I want the job for the fun, income, and knowledge...not to mention I could work with this guy I like...but that's not the reason for the job...a friend actually suggested it, because it works well for him and they are hiring. What do you think? Would you take the job? Is it terribly hard to work part time while in college? Thank you!

well if u beleive it was a domestic i dont really find any thing wrong with it however i believe u should at least give the lizard a 10-20 gallon tank. mostly for the living im sure it could live in a 10 but i think it might be more comfortable in a 20. yes the crickets for it might be a little big for it tho.... u might want to try small mealworms and dust those and i would recomend a heat lamp or heating pad (NOT HEATING ROCK) even if it is warm in his makeshift cage most lizards like to bask and what not. Also make sure the water is supplied. and if u get a bigger cage then i also recomend having 2 hidins one that is to be kept moist for when the lizard sheds. on the topic of sheddign you should probaly keep an eye out for it when it does shed because you may have to help it a little. all in all i hope this helps!!!!

I havent been able to poop for days! I have even taken xlax and nope nothing! At the beginning of last week I had my flu injection as I am asthmatic. Well on friday I started to feel a little sniffle but was ok and thought nothing of it. 2 days ago my dog got into the garbage when we were gone he ate chicken and a lot of it including the bones! I would definitely go for an English mastiff or a Bull Mastiff. THey are the sweetest dogs. They are 100% completely devoted to their owners and will do anything for them. THey are also sweet to strangers; however, when someone unwanted enters the house they instantly turn aggressive. Generally they bark a couple times (which is pretty intimidating) and then they will attack. They make great family guard dogs b/c they are essentially gentle giants. I'm on my computer and my 8 year old sister tells me that she fells like she has a headache so i thought well maybe you are getting cold because on friday she went swimming. so i told her to go get me the thermometer so i could see if she has fever i put it under her arm and a few min later it started bepping so i took it out from under her arm and had ( 95.5'F) her normal tempature is 97.2 its was about 8 min ago is when i checked her tempature she layed down about 5 min ago and now she is asleep. I am wondering from a Chemistry stand point why aeration/turbulent water is sufficient to provide atmospheric oxygen exchange for aquatic animals, but why it is not sufficient to provide CO2 for aquatic plants? Why must the water actually be injected with CO2, and aeration actually results in the loss of CO2 from the system? Isn't CO2 more soluble in water than O2? I am not arguing that it isn't necessary, just want to know why. Are plants using CO2 faster than aquatic animals use O2?

Which engine do you have here?? 3.0 Vulcan or MAZDA??? EIther way, locate, remove, and clean your IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE. Your engine works BACKWARDS from cars with a carburetor. The "gas" pedal is really the "air"pedal. If you are adding "air" to the engine, and it starts, then you most likley have a VERY dirty idle air control valve. Clean the throttle body as well.If the person that repaired your car did not clean all these things out, he did a very sloppy job. Engines should be clean as new when work is done on them. The IAC valve will prevent a good idle if it is THAT DIRTY!! If this doesn't help, then you have other issues. This cleanign should cost you a can of Gum-out spray. GOOD LUCK!!

So I used to smoke, until yesterday. I quit because they kept clogging my throat. So about a week and a half ago, I was sick with a cold, I wasn't wheezy really, just coughing (coughing up phlegm), runny nose, watery eyes. Well all that is gone, but now I'm still kind of congested, the phlegm is still there a little. I'm not coughing, but if I cough it's just to get the phlegm out. But in the last 3 days I've had diarrhea, and in the last 2 days, I've been nauseous. Today, I was just tired all day, and layed down. But I have a very high level of OCD and take some medicine. I take Geodon, Buspar, Metformin, Effexor, and something else but I'm not sure. But I didn't know if some of this was just side effects of them pills. Thanks for your time.

Religious bigots will always tell you that a family with only one mom and one dad is the only way to go. I was raised with two parents of opposite genders, and I tell you it was nowhere near perfect. My parents would always fight and I was also phsically abused. I'd rather have been raised by two loving parents of the same gender or two loving parents in general. Seriously, kids just want love, they don't care about gender or ual orientation. But bigoted people always try and p laws to ban gays from adopting or becoming foster parents. I've seen gay parents, and they are completely loving and caring to their children, and the kids seem happier, although I'm not saying it's always this way. But I don't get why there can't be more than one family structure.

I think it was a damn fine movie I got tickets for 7:00PM on opening day and the line was insane but we still got good seats. I waited until the end for the tribute to Heath indeed he STOLE the show I have NEVER seen a better Batman movie and the first of this series was pretty good I must admit. I wouldn't think that Heath would have ever had to play the role again say in a perfect world if he was still alive and just went another direction in the he future. He left me breathless and his laugh perfect. I only miss him more however its so tragic he was an extraordinary actor!
